Using a variety of resources including personal experiences and environment as aids to creativity students learn strategies for developing concepts, formulation solutions and organisation of thought processes linked to visual ideas development using drawing as the medium. Essentially this is an introduction to drawing and illustration as means of formulating, testing and experimenting with visualisation.

Learning Outcomes

• broad understanding of concepts of drawing as a tool for visual communication;
• experience at applying new technologies to the discipline of drawing;
• experience at a range of art making processes that can be applied to new media;
• a basis of suitable production and presentation techniques;
• understanding historical precedents of drawing.
