Students will continue their ongoing study of tonal music theory and composition techniques and will undertake a study of jazz theory, composition and improvisation. Further studies in orchestration and arrangement are undertaken with a focus on brass instruments and jazz arrangement, along with further studies in the techniques of music anlaysis.
