Available to BMus and BEd students.

Students will continue their ongoing study of tonal music theory and composition techniques and will undertake a study of mid to late 20th century composition and analysis. Further studies in orchestration and arrangement are undertaken with a focus on percussion instruments

Learning Outcomes

• gain an understanding of techniques used in tonal music composition and anlaysis;
• gain a knowledge of percussion instruments and the manner in which music is composed and arranged for percussion;
• gain an understanding of mid to late 20th century composition techniques and analysis.
