This subject covers enjoyment and skills required by non-music specialists for the design and implementation of music tuition for young children. Students focus on a range of practical areas, develop elementary music literacy skills and become familiar with a variety of music and musical activities suited to a range of age groups. Students will develop an appreciation and knowledge of a range of musical styles which will entice children to love music. Hands-on experiences will include work with percussion, wind instruments and ensembles, choral and vocal work,in line with students own expertise.
