This subject introduces the student to the clinical chemistry laboratory. The student will be led through fundamental issues of spectrophotometric analysis, quality assurance, basic technical skills and laboratory manual preparation. Organ system function will be reviewed with a focus on the methods required for the determination of disorders and the clinical interpretation of results.
