"Project" and "project management" are terms that have become increasingly popular in the business world. Project management has been widely applied to many business situations. To manage projects successfully, individuals need hard information and real skills to work effectively in a project environment and to accomplish project objectives. The subject Project Management is designed to help individuals to master essential concepts and techniques for successful project management.

• understand the benefits and limitations of implementing project management in business;
• gain experience in the use of software for project management; and apply project management techniques to real world problems;
• understand key concepts used in project management.
