A two week intensive subject on recent advances in fisheries biology, assessment and management. Emphasis will be on tropical marine fisheries. Major themes will be age determination of tropical fish, age-based stock assessment, coral reef fisheries, the use of marine reserves as fisheries management tools and the utility of multi-species fisheries models.

Prerequisites:36 units of level 1 and 2 subjects inc 6 units of biolgy (inc MB1110) CH1001 MA1000 PH1005; MA1003 strongly recommended
