An introduction to the law as to mining in Queensland, both as to minerals and energy resources and both onshore and offshore. The subject will consider the common law backgound, historical and constitutional sources, legislative regulation and control and related aspects of mining law. It will include a consideration of mining and Aboriginal interest in land and seas.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of mining law;
- Gain the ability to identify legal issues in relation to mining law and to apply the law to given factual applications.
