The subject introduces students to copy-tasting, subeditorial and print production aspects of daily newspaper journalism.

Learning Outcomes

• evaluate the news worthiness of news copy;
• layout copy and illustrations electronically on broadsheet and tabloid pages as directed;
• subedit news copy electronically;
• write headlines as directed.
