This subject teaches students how to conceptualise, record and produce radio documentaries that meet exacting industry standards. Students analyse the work of professional documentary-makers and prepare two different kinds of documentary of their own. The subject emphasises meticulous scripting, appreciation of the nuances of sound recording and editing, voice development, researching a broadcast story and the nurturing of storytelling abilities that suit the radio idiom.
