Available to students who qualify for entry to the honours program in any two disciplines.
Joint Honours level supervision in the selection, design and preparatory research of a topic which employs substantial undergraduate knowledge of any two disciplines in the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate appropriate levels and direction of research;
 - demonstrate clarity of concept and originality of research project;
 - demonstrate evidence of understanding of and engagement with theories relevant to the topic, both contemporary and traditional;
 - demonstrate monograph-style organisation, including an introduction, chapter division and conclusion which demonstrate clarity and coherence of argument;
 - demonstrate technical correctness, as regards grammar, spelling, syntax, scholarly apparatus and bibliographical data, embodied in a fluent and readable style and a scholarly manner and tone.
 
Graduate Qualities
- The ability to select and organise information and to communicate it accurately, cogently, coherently, creatively and ethically;
 - The acquisition of coherent and disciplined sets of skills, knowledge, values and professional ethics from at least one discipline area;
 - The ability to read complex and demanding texts accurately, critically and insightfully.
