Introductory economics prepares the student to understand the economy from both the government and private sector perspectives and provides an appreciation of the inter relatedness of economies globally. By the time you have completed this subject you will have a basic understanding of economics and will be able to critically interpret the financial and political news and current affairs and determine the likely impact of statements and discussions on how to maximise material wants with limited resources.
