The subject will explore management of school students behaviour within group contexts. It will examine major theories of behaviour management, proactive versus reactive management and formulating classroom and whole-school policies and plans.
Learning Outcomes
- compare and contrast major theoretical approaches to behaviour management and group processes;
- critically evaluate proactive and reactive styles of management;
- develop an appreciation of current policies relevant to classroom and whole-school behaviour management issues;
- integrate these knowledges in relation to options and issues in establishing systematic behaviour management at classroom and whole-school levels.
