Available to BEd and BEd (Professional Development) students approved by the Academic Adviser.

An individual subject for study as approved by the Associate Dean. It allows for independent work in an area of education of the students own choosing, subject to staff expertise. In consultation with a nominated supervisor of Education a program of reading and guided study relating to a specialised area is designed to cater for the individual students needs. Proposals for individual subjects should be submitted to the Head of the School of Education for transmission to the Faculty for approval by the Associate Dean within two weeks of the commencement of the semester. Students are advised that individual study should normally be undertaken only upon successful completion of two other elective studies within the BEd course.
