This subject examines the theory and practice of classroom and student management. It is designed to provide insights into the classroom environment, key management skills to successfully manage complexities of the classroom and a variety of approaches that can both prevent and respond to disruptive behaviour. It refers to a number of foundation models as well as other ideas from the field that deal with difficult students and building resilience in students. The subject will also value and utilise the knowledge and experience of participants. Structured pre-reading is required before the block mode begins.
