CS4005 - Civil Engineering Design

Design generally three projects covering hydraulic engineering, structural engineering and systems/environmental/transportation/geotechnical engineering. Where possible, these will be treated in an integrated way. In this subject, the designs will be more open-ended and oriented towards overall projects compared with earlier design subjects.

Learning Outcomes

• appreciate the holistic and interdisciplinary nature of civil engineering;
• develop skills in the reporting of design investigations;
• develop skills relating to design in the areas of hydraulic, structural, and systems/ transportation/environmental/geotechnical engineering.

CS3000 and CS3001 and CS3003 and CS4001 and CS4002
