This subject covers the essential components of law relating to partnerships and companies including legal aspects of company formation and liquidation and the legal rights and obligations of those people operating partnerships.
Learning Outcomes
- explain the legal requirements relating to the set up and operation of a company;
- explain the methods of terminating a company;
- inform dissatisfied shareholders and other persons dealing with a company of their legal rights and forms of redress;
- determine the legal rights and obligations of persons operating partnerships;
- determine the legal obligations of company controllers.
