An introduction to contemporary biology for agricultural and veterinary scientists, including functional biology of cells, and organisms; genetics and the diversity of life; and interactions between organisms and the environment. Includes laboratory studies and tutorials.
Learning Outcomes
- acquire hands-on practical skills in biological science in the laboratory;
- gain experience in scientific problem-solving and decision-making;
- develop the vital basic knowledge required for understanding scientific principles of biology and their application in more advanced and specialised studies;
- acquire proficiency in observation, recording, evaluation and reporting of scientific information.
