This subject will introduce students to the fundamentals of drawing. Students will explore sight-size measuring, high and low keys, use of mark in portraying spatial depth and continue the exploration of media begun in Drawing 1A.
Learning Outcomes
- to develop skills in sight-size measuring;
- to understand and apply conventials of portraying spatial depth;
- to understand and explore low and high tonal keys;
- to explore mark-making in a range of media.

Assessment: | (80%); (20%). |
Special Assessment Requirements: | To establish authenticity of work submitted for assessment attendance at practicals is compulsory. Rolls are kept and work submitted by students with attendance less than 80% won't be eligible for assessment unless prior approval is obtained in writing from the lecturer. To pass you must: obtain an overall mark of 50% or more; achieve a mark of at least 40% over all invigilated assessment items and attempt each assessment item although you don't need to pass each item to pass the subject. |
