Available ONLY to students enrolled in the Master of Tourism.
This subject involves the development, execution and reporting of either a supervised tourism research article or review or the development of a tourism industry based product. The work may be undertaken using primary or secondary data or by linking to applied industry issues using archival resources and/or assessing current practices. Students work with an individual supervisor, drawn from the Tourism Program staff. A high level of performance in the subject TO5060 is a necessary prerequisite. Assessment is based on the research article, review or industry product and a public presentation of the project.
Learning Outcomes
- acquire objective investigative skills to dissect, analyse and appraise one facet of the tourism industry without bias or favour;
- develop a substantial tourism research article or tourism industry based product;
- enhance professional communication skills in the written and verbal presentation of project outcomes.
