Available to Graduate Diploma of Tourism students and Master of Tourism students.
An introduction to the complexities of contemporary hotel management. Topics will include hotel organisational structures, operations, service and marketing and sales.
Learning Outcomes
- Have an understanding of core content areas central to hotel management including a) basic management structures and types of tourist accommodation b) organisational aspects of hotels c) operational divisions within hotels d) the role of the general manager;
- Be able to apply concepts from marketing, consumer behaviour, financial control and human resource management to hotel management.

- The ability to define and to solve problems in at least one discipline area;
- The ability to lead, manage and contribute effectively to teams;
