This subject develops the students knowledge and understanding of quality management aspects of operations management and the ability to evaluate and apply quality assurance procedures in a hospitality operational systems context. This unit primarily requires students to apply concepts and techniques between an operations sub systems and also the interrelationship between the organisations strategic posture and its operating systems.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate a sound understanding of quality operations management frameworks;
- demonstrate evidence of research and further reading which reflects contemporary perspectives and developments;
- draw conclusions about the management of service quality in hospitality systems;
- provide supported and logically reasoned discussions which demonstrate analytical depth and rigour.
