An introduction to the complexities of contemporary hotel management. Topics will include hotel organisational structures, operations, service and marketing and sales.
Learning Outcomes
- Have an understanding of core content areas central to hotel management including i) basic management structures and types of tourist accommodation ii) organisational aspects of hotels iii) operational dividions within hotels iv) the role of the general manager;
- Be able to apply concepts from marketing, consumer behaviour, financial control and human resource management to hotel management.
