This subject provides a strong foundation in molecular biology for application in all fields. It explores the structure of DNA, the mechanism of DNA replication, genetic recombination and repair of DNA, transcription, translation, chromatin structure, comparison of eukaryote and prokaryote genome structure, the operon model and techniques used in recombinant DNA technology.
