This subject provides the student with the opportunity to enhance and extend their existing knowledge in the nursing management of clients who have mental health issues in generalist health settings. This subject also provides an opportunity to develop new knowledge and assessment and management skills in this important aspect of clinical health care. The student's learning will be extended and applied to addressing nursing issues in the management of mental health related symptoms and behaviours in their particular clinical setting.
