Available to students who are eligible for registration as a nurse in Queensland or elsewhere in Australia; hold a recognised undergraduate degree in nursing or a related discipline or its equivalent as approved by the Head of the School of Nursing Sciences and have 12 months minimum postgraduate clinical experience.

This subject will build on the students previous learning in the subject Ns5801. Subject content increases in complexity and students will have the opportunity to apply theoretical and practical nursing knowledge to patients with complex cardiac conditions. Students will also be introduced to advanced practices such as the management of patients following cardiac surgery, or requiring advanced technological intervention.
