Available to students who are eligible for registration as a nurse in Queensland or elsewhere in Australia; hold a recognised undergraduate degree in nursing or a related discipline or its equivalent as approved by the Head of the School of Nursing Sciences and have 12 months minimum postgraduate clinical experience.

This subject explores the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required by registered nurses when caring for patients with a cardiac health problem. Content includes managing the physical and psychosocial needs for patients with cardiovascular health problems, clinical problem-solving and introduction to technological interventions. Competency-based clinical assessment will occur during the clinical practice component of the subject.
