This subject develops students television journalism skills and applies them to current affairs production. The subject involves selecting stories, conducting research and interviews and non-linear editing. Completed stories may be selected for inclusion in a simulated current affairs program to be produced and presented by students.

Learning Outcomes

• demonstrated capacity to present and produce a television current affairs program in a television studio;
• demonstrated ability to apply television journalism skills to the production of industry- standard television current affairs stories.
