Available to Bachelor of Indigenous Studies students and other undergraduate students.
This subject is designed to guide students through an examination of Indigenous people who may be considered exemplary samples of champions for success. Students will be introduced to issues and notions through on-line learning including the discussion board and email, digital medium and reading materials. Therefore it is essential that students have access to the World Wide Web to complete this subject, students who do not have access to email should notify the Subject Co-ordinator. A case study approach will enable students to explore and follow the lives of Indigenous Australians who have been instrumental in highlighting how Indigenous people have attained a noteworthy place in society. Students will have the opportunity to examine how social, political and cultural change has impacted on individual contemporary Indigenous people in Australian society.
