The School of Tropical Environment Studies and Geography has a broad academic base and provides honours in Spatial Analysis, Physical Geography, Environmental Studies and Human Geography. These are not mutually exclusive, as interdisciplinary studies are encouraged both within TESAG and with other schools in the University. Honours in Spatial Analysis provides opportunities for further studies, and for research into a topic that interests the student. The aim of the honours degree is to develop and assess the ability of a student to undertake independent research. The work is a combination of coursework, a seminar presentation, research proposal, literature review and a 15,000 word thesis.
