Available ONLY to students enrolled in the BEd.
This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for Professional Experience within the Bachelor of Education program. Students will complete 5 (five) days of professional orientation which may include engaging in whole group visits to education settings and seminars with education leaders. All students will be placed in a school and attend for 15 allocated days, completing a range of activities to develop an understanding of the complexities of teachers roles.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate a commitment to use a repertoire of language and literacy skills appropriate to the teaching profession;
- develop an understanding of school settings and how they operate over a school term;
- identify, analyse and support a range of learner differences in a school setting;
- integrate and begin to articulate knowledge of policies, research and practices and own personal practice within school settings.
