This subject encourages an integrated view of classroom planning, teaching and evaluation, especially long-term planning and curriculum development. Students will engage in activities which will develop their abilities to work collaboratively as members of teams, to further develop their own personal practical theories for enhancing learning and life outcomes for all learners. Classroom management is included as an aspect of curriculum planning and teaching practice.
Learning Outcomes
- develop an individual theory of practice relating to classroom planning and management;
- develop effective long-term planning and curriculum development skills;
- examine the theory and practice of a variety of classroom management models;
- review and develop specific classroom management techniques and skills.
