The focus of this subject will be the implementation of critically reflective practice in developing effective pedagogies. Students will explore a range of professional practices, identified as productive pedagogies and investigate topics of particular professional and personal significance. Implementing an inquiry approach, this subject will involve a range of adult learning modes and contexts, which may include face-to-face or electronic lectures and tutorials; critical reflections; discussions and collaborative and independent work. Students are required to undertake 25 hours of professional experience.
Learning Outcomes
- further develop knowledge and skills of critical reflection of personal and professional beliefs about learning and teaching;
- develop the skills and attitudes to engage with colleagues and students in a community of inquiry;
- refine skills for examining and developing inclusive pedagogical practices.
