Learning Outcomes

• communicate effectively through design and assignment reports and class participation;
• learn and apply some basic science and engineering fundamentals to pavement design, geometric design and traffic engineering;
• understand the principles of sustainable design and development (energy and environmental considerations);
• understand the professional and ethical responsibilities including road safety;
• understand the social, economic, global and environmental elements of the multidisciplinary transportation problems;
• undertake problem identification, formulation and solution;
• utilise a systems approach to complex transportation problems.
