This subject examines the effectiveness and efficiency with which organisations use scarce resources to create and sustain value. Emphasis will be placed on the technical design and operation of management accounting technologies and systems and the critical evaluation of such in directing and/or supporting the value-effective design of organisational processes.
Learning Outcomes
- To develop evaluative skills through a critical assessment of relevant literatures;
- To develop communicative and leadership skills through team based project work, presentations and interactive learning approaches;
- To develop analytic and imaginative skills, in exploring the use of resources in organisational processes under conditions of change;
- To develop an appreciation of the thinking and practice that underlies the drive towards world- class organisational performance.
