This is an advanced subject that studies the theoretical, conceptual and practical issues in project and special events management. It analyses the policy, planning, implementation and review processes that are necessary for effective project and special events management. This interdisciplinary subject draws from the literature in business strategy, accounting and finance, organisational design and behaviour, production and quality management, human resources and industrial relations, marketing and marketing communications, management of technology, environmental sustainability and business law.
Learning Outcomes
- to develop an appreciation of the theoretical, conceptual and practical issues in project and special events management;
- to be able to analyse the processes that are necessary for effective project and special events management;
- to develop analytic and evaluative skills enabling the competent planning, management and implementation of projects and special events.
