Introduces students to the key responsibilities of management and the skills essential for the effective management of organisations in a global competitive environment, as individuals, as part of interfunctional team efforts and as leaders. This subject analyses the multiple roles, tasks and skills a manager requires in order to effectively manage the organisation. Systematically studies organisational structure, design and behaviour. Students examine the often paradoxical needs of managing, given the often conflicting requirements to balance long- and short-term objectives.
