This subject is a literature research project in the Doctor of Astronomy degree. It is the first of the true research subjects. Students will become familiar with the primary astronomical literature (journals, books and other archives) much of which is abstracted and available on-line on the Internet. Topics will be on observational astronomy and astrophysics, astronomy education or quantitative astronomy history. This is to prepare students for their own original research project.
