Available to all students except BVA students.
Students will explore sculpture as an area of specialization within the visual arts. Emphasis will be on the consolidation of technical skills and processes, and the development and expression of a personal vision. Students will gain experience in using techniques such as flexible moulding, casting in wax, fiberglass, bronze etc, welding, wood construction, or carving. Students will gain experience in research and experimentation, the development of ideas, and their synthesis and translation into creative outcomes. A charge will be required upon enrolment for use of tools and materials

Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices;
- develop problem-solving skills to assist with creative decision-making and critical inquiry in visual arts;
- identify, employ and demonstrate proficiency in key competencies necessary to visual arts practice;
- gain an appreciation of the inherent qualities of processes and techniques in the area of sculpture.
