Available to Bachelor of Creative Arts Students and level 3 BVA students and other students subject to interview with lecturer.
Practical and theoretical issues are presented for visual artists and potential art administrators to develop and install an exhibition or site work. Students will develop a rationale for an exhibition or other format (site/installation) for the exposure and showcasing of visual arts. Professional art practice necessary to present an exhibition and network from local to international levels of the arts industry is discussed. Required art theory and concepts to develop and/or curate an exhibition are discussed
Learning Outcomes
- to develop a rationale for, organise and implement an exhibition, installation or site work;
- to acquire an understanding of the necessity to network with the professional visual arts industry from local to international platforms;
- to acquire a knowledge of industry expectations for the development and implementation of an exhibition, installation or site work.
