Available to all students subject to portfolio presentation and interview. Students should attend the introductory visual arts lecture (usually on Monday in Orientation Week) and register for preferred practical group through LearnJCU.
This subject will introduce students to the fundamentals of drawing. Students will explore tone, proportion and mark-making in a range of mediums.
Learning Outcomes
- to explore mark-making in a range of mediums;
- to understand and apply principles of linear and aerial perspective;
- to develop skills in recognising and rendering differences of tone, and in proportional and sight-size measuring to explore mark-making in a range of mediums;
- to understand and explore conventions in composition;
- to understand and explore objective and subjective viewpoints.
