The subject introduces the demand, distribution, delivery and development aspects of tourism.
Learning Outcomes
- to define the term tourism and its related forms;
- to examine the growth in tourism and traveller numbers, why people are motivated to travel and who these people are;
- to identify how tourism services are distributed within the tourism system;
- to identify who shapes tourism policies and plans and the educational and training frameworks currently in place;
- to understand who provides the tourism services and how they are delivered.
