Available to Bachelor of Photography and Bachelor of Creative Arts students.
This subject extends students knowledge of the use of Adobe Photoshop. Students will also acquire knowledge of advanced film scanning techniques and the operation of SLR digital cameras; especially the management of digital files including archiving, transmission, storage, and output to external agencies. Examination of current digital imaging practice as applied in a variety of fields of photography.

Learning Outcomes
- Extend competency in the use of Adobe Photoshop in manipulating and combining images;
- Extend competency in the use of flatbed scanners and introduce film scanning;
- Introduce sound practice in the use of hi- resolution SLR digital cameras;
- Introduce hi-bit editing strategies especially in relation to image restoration;
- Evolve an individual perspective on the use of digital techniques to achieve personal artistic objectives.

Rolls are kept and work submitted by students with an attendance of less than 80% will not be eligible for assessment unless prior approval has been obtained in writing from the lecturer. |
