This subject provides an introduction to human physiology and describes the function and structure of the human organ systems. This includes an introduction to cells and tissues; the skin; the nervous, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, reproductive systems and endocrinology.

• functional and structural aspects of the nervous, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, reproductive and endocrine systems;
• overall body structure and organisation;
• the role of blood constituents and lymph in the body.
