This subject will introduce students to key concepts relating to rural, remote, tropical and Indigenous health, particularly in the Australian context. Students will develop an appreciation of the organisation of health care in these settings and the factors which impact on the health status of these communities.

    Special Assessment Requirements:This subject is assessed within an integrated assessment program for all Year 2 subjects. The assessment as detailed below, is the integrated assessment schedule for all Level 2 subjects. Students must participate in all formative assessment tasks to be eligible to sit the summative assessments. Attendance at clinical placements is mandatory and completion to a satisfactory level is required.
