Most research requires statistical analysis of data. Statistical consultants provide a service to researchers to help them better design, analyse and report their valuable results. Statistical consultants need good communication skills and the ability to understand research goals of a vast range of disciplines. This subject will introduce students to the world of statistical consulting. The course will focus on communicating with clients and increasing knowledge of statistical rigour that is required when exchanging knowledge for fee services.
