This subject develops legal, ethical and technological literacy and covers both theoretical and practical aspects of research and writing in law and law-related disciplines. It provides the skills and knowledge required to conduct research in both hard copy and computer assisted formats. It also develops students' abilities to express themselves in written, oral and group formats. Generic academic research and writing skills, knowledge and awareness will be developed (including awareness of the ethical considerations and conventions relevant to research and writing in law and law-related disciplines).
Learning Outcomes

- develop an awareness of the ethical dimensions of research and writing;
- ability to carry out directed research and write up the results of that research;
