Students extend their radio reporting and production skills to current affairs. The subject involves researching and conducting interviews, digital editing and studio-production of a current affairs program. The subject explores techniques used by investigative journalists and emphasises the need for balanced reports in current affairs programs.
Learning Outcomes
- an understanding of the techniques used to effectively communicate information and ideas in a radio magazine;
- how to research and prepare a written proposal for a magazine;
- planning and executing a magazine production schedule;
- recording and finding relevant audio material;
- structuring, scripting and mixing the magazine.
