A wide range of authentic material is used in this subject such as TV dramas and documentaries, fictional and non-fictional prose, etc. Tasks include summarising and discussing the content of Japanese TV programs and various readings, both in speech and in writing.

Learning Outcomes

• increase in general students proficiency beyond the level achieved in the prerequisite advanced level subject;
• increase the accuracy and complexity of language use in discussions and in summary writing with special emphasis on using the appropriate register of speech.
