Available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Indigenous Studies, Bachelor of Journalism and other undergraduate students.
Students will be introduced to basic scriptwriting techniques for both radio and TV. Plot lines, character development, the writing of dialogue and genre differences will be covered. Standard layouts for both radio and TV will be taught.
Learning Outcomes
- critically analyse a range of scripts for structure, content and creativity;
- identify and apply features in writing and development of a radio and TV script;
- interpret differences between scripts written for a variety of common program genres;
- produce and market short scripts for radio and TV to cater for diverse socio-cultural audiences;
- use computer based programs.
